Favola

Last Sunday was my off day and I already had plans for dinner which will be held at Favola. Since a few of us are training in Le Meridien, we get to request for a 50% discount. And the request has been approved! :D

Favola is definitely a great place to dine as the food there are what you can say, quite worthy. Well it all depends because it's in a hotel and the price can be kinda painful for your wallet. It ranges from Rm40-50 for a normal dish. There are higher ones too. But nevertheless, way cheaper than Prime :).

Since we had a 50% discount, we ordered quite the expensive dishes on the menu but not above Rm100 per dish.

Venetian Pizza
This is one of the signature dishes in Favola. It contains lobsters, scallops, prawns, calamari and clams. The pizza was rather dissapointing though as there werent much seafood on the pizza itself. But flavourwise, it was great. For me I guess it's a lil salty and would definitely prefer it less salty.

Chef's 5 Sampler of Antipasti
This is our Appetizer to start off with, together with the pizza. This dish costs Rm50. In a way it's quite reasonable if you ask me. If you were to have this whole dish to yourself, it would be filling and you get to try 6 different flavours to soothe your pallets :).

Funghi Squid Ink Tagliolini Pasta

This pasta wasn't that bad. But in a way, it's not worth your money somehow as it tastes kinda common and you could get it almost in any Italian restaurants. For the squid ink pasta, I'm not sure myself how great is it supposed to be. (Not very sure how is it suppose to taste like)

Conchiglioni Marinara al Cartoccio

Oh, this pasta was a bomb for me! To me it's a heavenly dish for the night. Originally it was supposed to be presented in paper wrapped parsel but since we're sharing there isn't any. It has seafood in a tangy tomato sauce. The seafood was equally portioned and when you take your first bite, it explodes in ur mouth; the amount of tomato sauce in the shells just bursts out and flows nicely. Nowonder they don't give you a choice to choose your own pasta. Thank god for that.

Canoli

This is another heavenly dessert and the best for the night. It is made out of a crispy sweet dough filled with cholloate and nougat mousse. The texture just melts in your mouth making you crave for more!

***

Torta di Castagne

To me, this dessert is horrible to end with. The description says that it is made out of cocoa, chestnut, almond and walnut cake. It does not even have the texture like a cake but instead it tastes, feels, and smells like red bean paste. So yeah, this will never be a reccomendation from me.

Cassata
This is their second signature dessert. This is made with rich Haagen Dazs Vanilla, Strawberry and Pistachio ice-cream. It's good, but not great for me. But you could always try if you're a huge ice cream lover! :)

See those masks behind? Beautiful aren't they? Well, it costs Rm2,000 each and it's made all the way from Italy.

The night ends with us saying good bye to Favola and leaving with a satisfied stomach.

Also, we paid a fairly reasonable price each for the amount of dishes we ordered.
